After university and travelling, Oliver decided not to become an accountant, but instead raised private equity and bank debt to start his own venture in the food industry - including a retail catering business in central London and a chain of organic sausage shops in the south-east. From 2008 to 2014, Oliver sat on the board of the UK Business Angels Association (UKBAA). He has an MBA from Imperial College Management School. Oliver is a shareholder and Co-Founder of Envestors in 2004.twitter email

Penny Avis trained as an accountant and until 2009 was a corporate finance partner at Deloitte LLP, specialising in consumer products and hostile takeovers, having joined the firm from Arthur Andersen in 2002. Penny advised multinational companies on their growth, through M&A, IPO and other transactions, providing strategic advice to investors and boards.
Answering a long-held ambition to be a writer, in 2009 Penny switched careers to set up Avisberry Ltd with Joanna Berry. Together they created the Never Mind the Botox series of books about the lives of professional women in the modern world. Penny and corporate lawyer Joanna are in discussions with a production company about the development of a television series based on the books.
Writing realistic fiction about women in the City has given Penny the opportunity to showcase a new generation of exciting female protagonists, while showing people that such careers are not always glamorous and trouble-free. Penny remains involved with Deloitte as regional chair of the former partners association for London and the South of England and is a volunteer mentor for Girls Out Loud, an organisation that seeks to empower and inspire teenage girls.twitter email
