Based on an existing successful model launched in the US in 2005 (TrueCar, $134m revenues, IPO in May 2014), CarPlanner. com guides consumers from initial research to the purchase and delivery of the best car offer in the market, together with follow-on maintenance, car lifecycle management and ultimately sale, all on the same online platform. CarPlanner is also designed to become the preferred customer acquisition platform for car manufacturers, dealers and thousands of service providers who, unlike other marketing channels, are charged only for actual cars sold or service provided.
The CarPlanner multi-choice comparison engine is able to compare up to 5 vehicles simultaneously with real time update and it already contains all technical details of 86,000 car models/makes. Furthermore CarPlanner released a mobile application "The Planner" (the IP which is in the process of being protected), that enables users to track and plan maintenance and other deadlines for their vehicles, find discounted services and save c.£400 per year on ordinary costs like mechanics, tyres, and insurance.
The successful team behind ComparaMeglio.it (previously as ComparaFinanza funded through Envestors) and their existing investors are striking again with this new business which will be commercially connected to ComparaMeglio’s car insurance aggregator business, for access to their 1m strong existing customer database and thus speedy deal flow. Up to £800,000 of EIS funds are being raised in order to roll out the service.
